KATHY OVIATT - Owner, Principal Designer

Kathy has owned and operated Oviatt Design for more than 30 years. She specializes in high-end luxury residential and commercial work including custom homes, medical buildings, retail stores, spas, second or vacation homes, luxury houseboats, and more.

She has built her reputation creating timeless interiors with both classic and current elements. Her priority is to combine exceptional design with her clients’ values, lifestyles, and expectations. Growing up with parents who collected original artwork and loved beautiful things, she is drawn to traditional, lasting beauty that reflects and represents each client’s story, their history, their dreams, and what they love. As a lifetime member of the American Society of Interior Design, Kathy offers professional, exceptional work, with an emphasis on all the details, including architectural and landscaping.

Her creative energy, and her passion and love of design is what draws clients to her work. After many years in the business, she continues to find the process, and the friendships and relationships that it brings, the most rewarding part.

JAMIE JOHNSON - Finance Manager

Jamie's love of numbers, balance, and all things orderly, balances the creative energy of our design team perfectly. She has more than 16 years of experience keeping the books for small companies, and while she enjoys overseeing the finances, she is always willing to jump in and help with any other duties that pop up. Jamie’s bright and cheerful disposition and general positivity makes her a great asset to our team.

DEREK MECHAM - Architectural Designer

With Derek’s expertise and education in drafting, rendering, landscaping, and his skill with accessorizing, visual elements, interior, and exterior design, he adds to the team with unique talents that benefit both residential and commercial clients.
